Chapter Management Pathwell Guide

This page has everything that chapter managers and participants may need to get going on Pathwell, such as signing in, running events, wellness check-ins, and staying connected. This platform is built for support, not surveillance.

GETTING STARTED

  1. Watch your email for an invite from Pathwell by YPR (pathwell@youngpeopleinrecovery.org) — check spam the first time.
  2. Click the button in the email and set a password.
  3. Bookmark testingpathwell.flywheelsites.com/login/ and sign in with your email and password.
  4. Forgot your password? Click “Forgot?” on the sign-in page for a reset link.

Your dashboard lives at /chapter-dashboard/. If you land on the participant home instead, use that address directly.

  1. Metric cards show active participants, attendance, engagement, and average RCI (Recovery Capital Index).
  2. The attendance chart tracks meeting turnout over time.
  3. RCI domains show where your chapter is strong or stretched vs. the national average.
  4. The at-risk list flags people whose signals suggest a check-in would help — a low or dropping RCI, or no recent activity.
Treat the at-risk list as a reach-out list, not a report card. A quick “hey, we missed you Tuesday” text is exactly what it’s for.

Roster

  1. Go to Participants in the left menu.
  2. Choose Add participant, enter their name and email, and send the invite.
  3. They get a set-password link and land in your chapter automatically.
  4. Invite not arriving? Open the participant, check the email for typos, and use Resend invite.
  1. In Participants, choose Add existing and search by name or email.
  2. Select them and they join your chapter — no new account needed.

Events

  1. Go to Events and choose New event.
  2. Add a clear name, date, time, location, and short description.
  3. Add a square photo (up to 2 MB) if you like — your chapter’s picture is used by default.
  4. Repeating meeting? Set it to repeat weekly; Pathwell schedules up to 8 weeks ahead and emails you a one-click renew link before it runs out.
  1. Every event has a public page anyone can open — no account needed — with details, a map, and a QR code.
  2. Use Share on the event to copy the link, or print the QR code for flyers.
  1. Open the event and choose Roster.
  2. Check people in as they arrive, or after. Attendance feeds your charts and keeps at-risk signals accurate.

Communication

  1. From the roster or the at-risk list, open a participant and choose Message (or Send SMS).
  2. Pathwell picks the right channel: everyone gets an in-app copy; email and text go out only if they’ve opted in.
  1. Choose Announce, write your message, and pick channels (in-app, email, text).
  2. Announcements are one-way — replies don’t come back to your inbox. Message people directly for a conversation.
Texts come from (888) 977-0732. Only opted-in participants get texts, and STOP replies are handled automatically — never manually.

Reports and Resources

  • My Chapters — switch between chapters if you lead more than one; every view scopes to the chapter you pick.
  • Reports — download CSVs (participants, attendance, engagement, RCI) for grant writing or your own tracking.
  • Resources — the article/worksheet library your participants see. Point people to it often.

Troubleshooting

  • They never got the invite — check spam, verify the email, hit Resend invite.
  • They can’t sign in — have them use “Forgot?” on the login page.
  • They stopped getting texts — they likely replied STOP. Texting resumes when they text START to (888) 977-0732.
  • Anything else — use the Report a bug button (top right of every page), or email pathwell@youngpeopleinrecovery.org.
Pathwell is peer support, not crisis care. In a crisis, follow YPR protocol and point to testingpathwell.flywheelsites.com/crisis/ — call or text 988.
